She succeeded in painting “a couple of good pictures” (P. Modersohn-Becker) unperturbed by popular fashion in a male-dominated world of arts. Her inner voice demanded colors that didn’t just replicate reality, but represented the hidden qualities of people and things. In her solo piece, Claudia Hanfgarn attends to this inner voice and Paula’s ability to deal with it.

The Bremerhaven choreographer and dancer trained at the Central School of Ballet in London and the University for Music and Drama Hannover. Over the last years, she has worked with choreographers such as Kristine Sommerlade, Birgitta Trommler, Vivienne Newport, Susanne Linke and Ricardo Fernando.
