Ach, wäre ich nur…! combines fairytales and dreams in a fantastic arc of images. Surely it is a dream we all share: to once in a lifetime be somebody else, to slip into playing another part just once. Amaya Lubeigt and Tina Havers are allowed to do so – and even more. With the effortlessness of a dancer, they stroll through a world of wondrous stories and weird incidents.

Wilfried van Poppel’s choreographies are long considered pioneering achievements in the field of contemporary dance for children. Born in the Netherlands, but now a resident of Bremen, he has incorporated the substantial experiences of his dancing career in his choreographies to develop a dance language especially suited to making this genre more easily accessible to children.
