Amours et delices

… a poetic dance performance full of casual malice and grotesque humor. The movement language – a brief and often angular abstraction of everyday gestures – is distinct. It’s impressing that drift are still able, after many years of working together, to discover new nuances and create fresh movements…. It comes across as surprisingly melancholic, but as soon as a little malice flares up, it’s great fun.
Tages Anzeiger, Zürich

amours et délices is a chamber play with audacious movement language. The company from Zurich has the courage to perform vigorous floor work and supple contortionisms, bold exercises on table and couch. The extraordinary precision of the movement sequences as well as the very far-reaching decomposition of everyday gestures evoke a surreal, almost dreamlike effect. As female comic characters in the flesh, somewhere between wind-up doll, vamp and girlie, the two female dancers give their male companions the runaround. Each seems to mirror the other. Creation is turned upside down, given a good shaking and warped. The old familiar game of man and woman nears its climax, between love and delight, erotic as well as malicious and unfathomable.
