Interieur nuit

With his absolutely fascinating physical presence Jean-Baptiste André lets us begin to fathom the void, the vibrating and instable balance and the grace of movement.
Politis

intérieur nuit is the sum total of breath-taking, almost supernatural moments, in which the laws of gravity are overturned by the union of dance, video, acrobatics and music. Jean-Baptiste André is considered one of the most sought after international young artists of the Nouveau Cirque. Together with his association [W], he has committed himself to the transcendence of aesthetic limitations and brings circus, acting, and dance together with digital image technology and electronic music. André, who calls himself a “distorter”, is the surprising master of his own metaphors. Perspectives are reversed, creating an interior space in which the protagonist surrenders to his loneliness and slowly slides into a world between reality and virtuality, enlightenment and projection: a reflection on the alienation of intimacy and the search for physical identity.
